²² He abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and he did not walk in the way of the Lord.

²³ Amon’s servants conspired against him, and they killed the king in his palace. ²⁴ Then the people of the land struck down all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah king in his place.
